Tasting Notes

Nose: Coconut milk and coconut shavings; floral and fruity notes together with the coconut notes; hibiscus tea; rose syrup; apple sauce, spices, vegetable-tanned leather; orange marmalade; candied ginger.

Palate: Full-bodied; a bittersweet entry; burnt caramel; molasses; hints of leather; maraschino cherry; the mid-palate is sweet and creamy; honey; candied ginger; cake batter topped with baking spices; coconut shavings, coconut milk, and coconut sweets come on strong on the back-palate. 

Finish: Medium in length; herbal candy; milk stout; a bunch of banana-related notes, like banana milk and banana cake; orange marmalade; candied cherry, acetone, and indistinct brine.

BARBADOS RUM 2007 VINTAGE from Foursquare Rum Distillery

Foursquare Rum Distillery, located in Barbados, is operated by R.L. Seale & Company, a fourth-generation family-owned business, established in the 1920s.

All rums produced are a blend of distillates from a copper pot-still with double retort & a twin-column vacuum still. Distillates are usually aged in American-oak bourbon barrels, with a variety of further finishings, such as Port, Cognac & Zinfandel wine casks.

This bottling was first tropically aged for 12 Years (86%), shipped 🚢 to Europe in a neutral container in early 2019, and re-filled into first-fill bourbon barrels for more than 1 year of continental aging (14%)

No additional sugar additives were added. We do not believe in adding sugar additives in our rum!
