Tasting Notes

Nose: Chalk, Barbeque,  slight notes of Limoncello, white pepper, the Brine of seawater, hints of tar, and wet metal lurk in the background.

Palate: Full-bodied, with good alcohol integration for its age; bitterness from the peat; seawater with a metallic tinge; ash; seaweed the likes of konbu and nori; brine, honey, white pepper, menthol pastilles; liquorice. 

Finish: Short, lingering notes of white pepper and sugar syrup; sweet and creamy; vanilla; briny umami & Oysters


CAOL ILA (pronounced as Cull Eela) is a Scottish distillery 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 located on the isle of Islay, near Port Askaig. Caol Ila is the Gaelic name for Sound of Islay, a waterbody that separates the isle of Islay and Jura.

Founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson, it continues to be a leading distillery for peated whisky lovers. This bottle commemorates Malt, Grain & Cane’s first bottling with Signatory Vintage, with the assistance of La Maison Du Whisky Singapore.
